Planetary Discoveries
Planetary Discoveries is a series of macro photographs exploring the unexpected worlds that can be found in everyday life. Created through close-up photography of soap bubbles, each image resembles a distant planet, revealing beautiful landscapes and colours that appear cosmic despite being made from dish soap.
The project is driven by curiosity and observation. By photographing a subject that exists only for a short moment, the work transforms something ordinary into something unfamiliar. The resulting images invite viewers to pause and question whether they are looking at a bubble a few centimetres wide or a stunning, unseen planet a million light-years away.
As a visually impaired photographer, I am drawn to subjects and ideas that encourage close observation and reveal details that might otherwise go unnoticed in day-to-day life. Planetary Discoveries celebrates the beauty of the small, temporary, and unexpected things life has to offer.
