Tony Natsoulas
After earning his MFA from the University of California, Davis in 1985, Tony Natsoulas has built a career as a professional ceramic sculptor known for large-scale, humorous figurative work. While at UC Davis, he studied in the influential TB9 ceramics studio under Robert Arneson, the pioneering artist who brought figurative ceramics to the forefront of contemporary art. Natsoulas has since exhibited widely in galleries and museums internationally and has completed numerous public and private commissions in bronze, fiberglass, and ceramic. His work is held in major collections, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, which recently acquired one of his sculptures for its permanent collection.
